SmartCoDur Project
The SmartCoDur project aims to research and develop innovative solutions that contribute to increasing the durability of concrete structures reinforced with shape memory steel (Fe-SMA). The research focuses on the design of new smart and sustainable coatings that are capable of self-regulating and repairing themselves when their surface films are damaged.
This approach represents a promising alternative for significantly extending the useful life of infrastructure, reducing maintenance costs and minimising energy consumption throughout its life cycle. At the same time, SmartCoDur is aligned with the principles of sustainability and environmental respect, offering advanced technological solutions that respond to the current challenges of durability, efficiency and ecological responsibility in the construction sector.
